HuMUS hosted its 3rd Webinar: Healthy soil stories – results from the ground!

On 6 June 2025, the Healthy Municipal Soils (HuMUS) Project hosted its third webinar to share the project’s results from the innovative Territorial Management Agreements and successful pilots. The webinar showcased the results produced by the HuMUS project partners in improving soil health across Europe in the last three years.

This event brought together over 70 soil experts, educators, citizens, farmers, researchers, community organisers, representatives of European municipalities and regions, and policymakers to explore possible and actionable ways to advance soil health-friendly practices across Europe.

The webinar featured outstanding presentations from HuMUS’ experts and partners:

• Paola Migliorini (University of Gastronomic Sciences, Pollenzo), who presented the valuable work of the Territorial Management Agreements (TMAs), a new pact for local participatory soil stewardship developed and implemented by HuMUS, and the way these processes have been put into practice in the Western Italian Alps ;
• Annalaura Vannuccini (Project Coordinator, ANCI Toscana), who described the results of the TMAs’ implementation in 2 pilot projects in Tuscany, Italy (Calenzano and Fiesole) and the role of citizen science and stakeholder engagement in the HuMUS methodology;

and was moderated by Anna Frosini (Agroecology Europe).
